It's so long it could just be an optical illusion.

yeah most old bumpsides and dentsides I see have 360's.

I didn't know they made crew cabs back then!

Also, I really like the 73-79 generation crew cabs

Kinja'd!!!0

Yeah, I really want a 60's or 70's F-series, I like them. I think I'd be OK with a 360 too. But 390 would be awesomer.

I'm sure anything sitting in Colorado for 12+ years has tons of "character". But if it runs and drives and has not rusted away completely (which I doubt a '67 F350 has) NP. It's just soooo much truck.

Yeah I wish they made more of them so they weren't so damn rare and valuable.

One of my friends is huge into dentsides (and he just got a bumpside to) he's had a 76 f250 highboy since he was like 16 and right now he's doing a full body off resto with a 6BT cummins and ZF5 manual. Its been in the works for probably close to 5 years now.

That sure is concerning... I bet it's happened in other spots. Which is why it's $2500...

Make it into a Monster Truck. Then you can park on the miscreants whom you happen to crush with it.

That's bad but hopefully the worst of it. It's cheap because it's probably a nightmare to own, gets 5 mpg and has a lot of problems from being old and sitting for a long time.

That's awesome!

Something that'd be really cool to do is buy the drivetrain from a wrecked 3.5EB F-150 and put it in one of these, haha. That or a cumswap (I hope it's not super offensive to call it this, but it makes me laugh), that's really awesome too.

Yeah... I'm sure sitting that long doesn't help things. Mannn I wish I had some place to put a project like this. I'll just have to wait till I do.

It could very well be if I didn't live in a spot where I have to street park and I think there is a max of 3 days per spot and it gets hard to find parking sometimes and this takes up like 1.7 spots.

I was just talking to him before, he said he got fed up on the never ending 6bt swap so he sold all that running gear and a cab for 6000 dollars and now he's putting a carbed 4.6 DOHC in a 1/2 ton bump side lol

the highboy is getting a built 351w

So putting in a 4.6 is going to be a whole lot easier than the 6bt he's already FOUR years into? I am confuse. Lol.

Kinja'd!!! offroadkarter > Yowen - not necessarily not spaghetti and meatballs
04/23/2014 at 09:09

Kinja'd!!!0

He's putting a worked 351 in the highboy and starting a new project with a 4.6 DOHC

Ah ok. Still a bummer he's not going for the 6BT anymore. Probably a whole lot easier to go for the 351 though.

Same here man. If I had a spot to put it I'd be driving over there with $1500 right now to see if the guy will take it. Of course after I check to see that the rust isn't very bad in any VERY crucial spot that would have this thing caving in in the next 500 miles.

After that I'd take my damn time to totally rebuild the 390 and swap in a trans with overdrive or a 5 speed manual.

After that comes the axles, bearings, suspension etc. Then maybe at that point I'll turn my attention to that gargantuan body, haha.
